Extremely negative review regarding Dr. Nan Ho. I underwent surgery with this surgeon after being sold countless promises and shown results that were supposedly examples of his own work. The reality of my experience was completely different. What happened immediately before and during the surgery was particularly disturbing. Once I was lying down and being prepared for the procedure, a young trainee came over and started preparing to draw the surgical markings on my face. I immediately stopped him and said very clearly: “No, no, no. Nobody touches me except the surgeon.” After I objected, he stepped away. I was then placed under sedation. I was not completely unconscious, and I could still hear and perceive what was happening around me. At one point, I clearly remember hearing Dr. Nan Ho say, while laughing: “But my dear, we are in Asia here, you see.” Because I was under sedation rather than completely unconscious, I was also aware of what was happening during parts of the procedure. I could see and feel that two sets of hands were working on me at the same time. This is particularly concerning to me because the surgery was originally supposed to take approximately three hours, yet the entire procedure was completed in only around one hour and twenty minutes. Given what I witnessed during the procedure and the outcome I am now living with, I believe my surgery was rushed. I feel that saving time was prioritized over performing my surgery with the care and precision it required — and I am now the person living with the consequences. Today, I am left with two completely different-looking eyes. I also have scars on both sides, in the middle of my face, which have absolutely nothing to do with what I was supposed to have after this procedure. To this day, nobody has been able to clearly explain to me where these scars came from. There was practically no proper postoperative follow-up either. The day after my surgery, the clinic closed for an entire week, supposedly because they were “on vacation.” Personally, I have serious doubts about that explanation. Before my surgery, I was also shown photographs presented as examples of this surgeon’s results. I later discovered that at least some of those photographs allegedly came from another surgeon’s work. I have seen evidence supporting this. I have also looked into this surgeon’s professional history and discovered extremely concerning information regarding previous professional sanctions and patients who reportedly suffered very serious consequences after being treated by him. All of this will, of course, need to be formally established as part of the legal action I intend to pursue. Based on what I personally experienced, I consider this surgeon incompetent, dishonest and irresponsible. I believe I was misled about his abilities, the results that were shown to me, and the level of care I would actually receive. I am currently around six weeks post-op. I am deliberately waiting until the three-month mark before beginning legal proceedings, so that nobody can simply dismiss my concerns by telling me that I “just need to wait for everything to heal.” But let me be clear: some things cannot simply be blamed on postoperative swelling. The difference between my two eyes, the unexplained scars, the circumstances surrounding my surgery, the lack of proper follow-up, and everything I have discovered since are not going to magically disappear. I am documenting absolutely everything: photographs, scars, the progression of my healing, conversations, documents, the people who were present, the images I was shown before surgery, and every piece of information I uncover. And when the time comes, I intend to take this matter to court. I also intend to make my experience public very soon. I will share my story and the evidence I have gathered on social media so that people can see for themselves what happened to me. I believe patients have a right to know about experiences like mine before trusting someone with their face and their health. If the facts and evidence establish professional misconduct, I believe there should be serious consequences and that the appropriate authorities should hold those responsible accountable. I strongly advise anyone considering surgery with Dr. Nan Ho to be extremely careful, to verify absolutely everything independently, and not to rely solely on before-and-after photographs, reassuring words, or promises made before surgery. My experience with this surgeon has been catastrophic. I trusted him with my face, and I am now living with the consequences of what happened in that operating room. And there is still much more I could say. I will make the full story public, with the evidence I have collected, when the time is right.
